When I called, the automated service told me that the package location is unknown and could either be in a shipping center or in transit and to wait patiently. In not so many words "until we know more about where your package is we all kind of have to wait for whoever has it to decide they want to share the info". This also means that my day tomorrow is going to be spent watching it. And if it doesn't come tomorrow I go to work the next day, and I will have to change the delivery instructions to not have to deal with no actual delivery attempts.
